Every space within our resort pays tribute to the Garifuna culture a living heritage that is part of Tela’s identity. The names of our areas come from their ancestral dialect, reflecting a deep connection with nature and local history:

• Sagadi: “Grass” a symbol of the fertile earth that sustains us.
• Maina: “Aromatic garden” evoking the natural scents of the tropics.
• Duna: “Water”  the essence of life flowing between the sea and the lagoon.
• Bazul: “Blue bay” a tribute to the majestic color of the Caribbean.
• Baharí: “Ancestors” honoring our roots and traditions.
• Bayu Bayu: “Little coconuts” symbolizing the joy, innocence, and energy of Caribbean childhood.
• Oasis Pool Bar: “Refreshing refuge” a haven of calm and flavor amid sun, water, and tropical breeze.
